What is WDRG?
Wales Digital Radio Group was formed in early 2021 for amateur radio operators accross Wales and beyond with a particular interest in all things digital voice. The group consists of members with a wealth of experience with many modes such as DMR - C4FM - D-Star. The group hosts a weekly meeting online where we cover many topics and training sessions if requested. WDRG are very active with special events throughout the year and get together for social and training activities as well. Click below for more information.
RSGB - MC5WRG
WDRG is an affiliated member of the RSGB and holds the club call sign MC5WRG. As a group we activate the call many times throughout the year and also use MC5WRG for our group entry into the UKAC contest. WDRG is also an accredited RSGB Brickworks participent, so if you are looking into increasing your knowledge following passing your exam, we can help.
Digital Radio
WDRG is active in the promotion of digital voice modes within amateur radio communities. DMR - C4FM - D-Star whatever your choice you will be very welcomed in our community. We as a group have members who are very well experienced in this field and are always on hand if anybody requires assistance in codeplugs - setting up transceivers and hotspots. Join our members on our nets or online meets and ask as many questions as you like.

WDRG members will be at the NARSA Blackpool Rally 23/4/23. We will be having a stand at the rally with live WiresX and DMR demonstration that all will be welcome to come and use. Come and meet some of the members of WDRG and of course always available to offer help and advice.
